2013 has been a breakthrough year for me so far as I have been self-publishing for a little over a year now and I have started making a living this year with book sales of well over 11,000 so far. Which seems pretty huge for someone with no literary educational background and in a worldwide self-publishing market which is so massive and competitive.

A magic trick gone wrong, a dead woman, and a group of twelve year old boys that are traumatized from their experience. Then one day when they are older their past comes back to haunt them and the residents of their home town are being murdered in sadistic magic trick themed crimes. Now this group of estranged friends must get together and drag their past into the light of day to catch a mad man out for revenge.

This story will have you devouring every page wondering what is going to happen next. There are some funny moments, a lot of suspenseful ones, and a few of them scary. Right when you think you have everything figured out, nope, thing again! You will be guessing until the very end! A great read that will leave you sleeping with the light one!

The wishing well is at the center of this curse and he is determined to find out what happened so long ago, and what it has to do with him.

Cassie Scot ParaNormal Detective is a great story with a unique twist-a normal human in a paranormal world. Cassie is from a family of Sorcerers, but unfortunately she did not inherit any of her parents powers, so she strikes out to prove that just because she is “normal” she can still be successful and useful to the community by being a detective for the paranormal community. When she gets her first case she is excited and ready to put her skills to the test.

Cassie is such an awesome protagonist. Even though she has some self-doubt, she is still confident, independent, and smart. She is a very realistic and dynamic character. Having her first case deal with vampires makes it even better, with all the vampire stories out there, I just found it kinda funny.

This is a very exciting and fast paced Urban Fantasy story that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time. You feel like you are right beside Cassie looking for clues and interacting with her magical friends and family. For the romance lovers out there, do not despair that is a love story element to the story, it’s just not the main focus. The main focus is Cassie finding her place in a paranormal world.

This story grabs you from page one and holds on until the last page! I cannot wait for the sequel!
